Rajkot (India), September 2025 – SHAKTIMAN (Tirth Agro Technology Pvt. ltd.), one of India’s leading agricultural machinery manufacturers, in collaboration with Hello Tractor, has launched a dedicated Women Empowerment Program to support inclusive agricultural development across Africa. The initiative aims to increase women’s participation in mechanization by providing technical training in machine operation, maintenance, and repair—ensuring they are equipped to lead and contribute meaningfully to the continent’s agricultural transformation.
In many African countries, mechanization services have historically excluded women, leaving a significant gender gap in access to technology and technical knowledge. This program is designed to close that gap by empowering women with hands-on skills and encouraging them to become machine operators, service providers, and even future implement owners.
Delivered in partnership with Hello Tractor, the program focuses on practical training with key equipment including rotary tillers, subsoilers, vacuum precision planters, and static shredders. The sessions are tailored to local farming conditions and aim to prepare participants for active roles in their communities’ mechanization ecosystems.
“Mechanization must be inclusive to be truly transformative. By empowering women with the right tools and training, we are not only creating opportunity—we are building the future of agriculture in Africa,” said Mr. Ashwin Gohil, Chairman of Shaktiman.
Through this partnership, women participating in the program are encouraged to become sub-dealers, local service providers, or influencers within their communities— expanding awareness of mechanization as a driver of growth.
This initiative is part of Shaktiman’s broader commitment to the continent: supporting Africa’s agricultural transformation through accessible, sustainable, and inclusive technology. By putting knowledge and opportunity into the hands of women, the company aims to create lasting impact from the ground up.
